Project: Extending to non 1mu 1p signatures in SBN

Oscillation analysis in the Short Baseline Neutrino program (SBN) at Fermilab relies primarily on Neutrinos that produce 1 Muon and 1 Proton (1mu 1p), which is optimized for energy resolution and precision, but results in a great loss of statistics for analysis. The goal of this project is to develop accurate production and analysis pipelines curated to both detectors in SBN (SBND and ICARUS), for neutrino interactions based on signatures apart from 1mu 1p, to inform the SBN analysis. The evaluation will require a method to perform sensitivity calculations regularly and rapidly, using HPCs to accelerate the fitting of oscillations data to the simulated data, which we want to develop.
