Biography

Jay Sandesara is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Data Science Institute, University of Wisconsin–Madison, based at CERN. He works on precision measurements of Higgs boson properties with the ATLAS experiment. During his PhD, he developed a type of neural simulation-based inference technique where thousands of neural networks work together to precisely measure the total decay width of the Higgs boson.

Project interests

His research interests include deep learning applications in fundamental physics, Higgs boson precision measurements, neural simulation-based inference techniques, and data analysis tools for particle physics experiments.
